About Long Island Baseball Showcase

“Thousands of young boys dream of becoming baseball players — and for some that dream can become a reality. However, some people believe Long Island is not the place to find the next Babe Ruth. Anthony Passalacqua of Long Island Baseball Incorporated has made it his mission to help up-and-coming talent on the island get noticed by talent scouts. Passalacqua not only coaches kids, he has set up showcases to give players opportunities that athletes in other parts of the country might take for granted.” – Rich Barrabi, Fois 1 News.

Every August, Long Island Baseball holds its annual exclusive elite showcase. Our showcases have a twofold purpose. First, we are driven to disprove the stereotypical notion that Long Island ballplayers are not equal to those players in the warmer regions of the country. Second, it is to provide to our aspiring talented players here on Long Island an exclusive opportunity to showcase their skills before dozens of scouts and college recruiters from all around the country. Today, parents want to give their young players every opportunity to excel and live out their dreams. As a result, baseball showcases appear more like an assembly line then a golden opportunity. The costs for showcases are in the hundreds of dollars while being extremely overcrowded. The uniqueness of “Long Island Baseball Showcase” is the low cost and the maximum exposure that all players receive!
